Call for Posters

Dear Colleagues and Students,

Registration and poster submission is now open for the Sensation to Emotion Conference, which will take place in New York City on March 2nd and 3rd, 2009.

In an effort to showcase the diversity of cutting edge research being conducted at the intersection of sensory processing and emotion regulation, we are pleased to invite applications for the poster sessions at this conference. This year's theme centers on how auditory stimuli are processed in laboratory and applied clinical settings, and how sounds can influence and be influenced by normal and abnormal emotion regulation processes across the lifespan. As such, we invite poster submissions relevant to this theme that showcase original empirical data on any topic relevant to this general theme.

The first 10 student applicants with accepted posters will have conference fees waived. In addition, a Best Poster Award will be given, with the recipient receiving waived conference fees and a $250 award. The deadline for poster submissions is 2/1/09. Poster abstracts should be no longer than one page in 12 point Times New Roman font and include the following information: (1) title, (2) name and academic affiliation of all authors, (3) Background and rationale of study, (4) Primary study aims, (5) Experimental design, (6) Primary results, (7) Discussion and interpretation of results, (8) Primary limitations and future directions.
