Dr. Jennifer Jo Brout specializes in children, adults, and families affected by Sensory Processing Disorders, Misophonia, learning disabilities, and developmental disorders. She founded the Sensory Processing and Emotion Regulation Program at Duke University and is currently the Director of the International Misophonia Research Network. As a mother of 24 year-old triplets, she is well versed in parenting concerns, school advocacy, and the coordination of multi-disciplinary coordinated care teams.
Ameya Calvocoressi is the Administrative Director and Case Manager for Dr. Jennifer Jo Brout and a recent graduate of Skidmore College with a B.A. in Psychology. She has since worked as a Research Coordinator at Syracuse University and as a Direct Support Provider for adults with ASD at the Kelberman Center. Prior to her graduation, Ameya also served as a Social Support Provider at Yale Behavioral Health Services and as a research assistant at the Yale Child Study Center, at which she presented her research on the impact of child gender on the maternal perception of pediatric anxiety symptoms.
